The brightness of the LED electronic display refers to the luminous intensity of the display unit area when the display is working normally. The unit is cd/m2 (that is, how many cd of luminous intensity per square meter of area, "cd" is called candela in Chinese, m2 is called square meter in Chinese). The higher the brightness of the LED electronic display, the brighter the image, and the clearer it looks from a distance. The brightness of indoor video screens is generally between 200~1200cd/m2. The brightness of outdoor video screens is generally between 3000~7000cd/m2.

The brightness of an LED electronic display is a difficult indicator to measure (because the test equipment is expensive). It can generally be calculated by testing the light intensity of the LED display, such as the white balance of a 2500 dot/m2 outdoor LED full-color display. , using a light-emitting diode light intensity meter to randomly measure 10 pixels, the average light intensity of the red tube is 420mcd; the green tube is 1620mcd; the light intensity of the blue tube is 285mcd, then the brightness of the display is 2500X (2X420+1620+285 )/1000=6862.5cd/m2, 6862500mcd/m2, because the screen has 2500 pixels per square meter, and each pixel has 2 red tubes, 1 green tube, and 1 blue tube).

Because LED electronic displays use self-luminous technology, as a light source, LED lamp beads usually experience brightness attenuation after being used for a period of time. However, to achieve brightness, a larger driving current is required. However, under strong current, the stability of LED lamp beads will be greatly reduced and decay quickly. In other words, brightness is sacrificed at the expense of image quality and lifespan of the LED screen. Not only that, as a brighter one among many display products, the transparent LED display screen once became the overlord of outdoor display products. However, once it comes to night, the screen is too bright, which will become a burden and cause environmental pollution. Therefore, The moderate pursuit of brightness and environmental protection becomes more meaningful.

The last one is the cost factor. If you simply pursue higher brightness, the cost of the transparent LED display project will inevitably increase. This means that users who purchase the display are likely to exceed their budget for this purpose, and the performance requirements will be insufficient in some parts. This alone results in waste. Therefore, when purchasing an LED screen, there is no need to listen to too many misunderstandings from merchants about the higher the brightness, the better the screen. The most important thing is to understand that blindly pursuing brightness is meaningless. Indoors are generally between 600 and 1,500, outdoors are generally above 5,000, and semi-outdoors are generally between 2,000 and 5,000.
